MASH CINELLI 10 YEAR PARALLAX FRAME SET

Today we are celebrating 10 years of working on the MASH project. To commemorate our creative relationship with

, we have taken the race tested geometry of our Parallax frame set, and asked Garrett Chow to bring his best work to the table. The result is very special to us.

“All designs of MASH Ten Year Anniversary products are based on ‘X’, the Roman numeral for Ten: ‘X’ is comprised of the intersection of two lines or, can be seen as two angles in tangency. This rationale serves as the basis of the vanishing point(s) in linear perspective —the means for representing three-dimensional objects and space on a two-dimensional surface.

The design elements and visual language of all #MASHtenyear products–from premiere flyer to the frameset you see here–are derived from plotting equidistant points along the periphery of the MASH logotype, and then tracing these points back to a vanishing point. Scaling the ‘wireframe’ derived from this exercise, and varying the distance of the vanishing point and placement of the logotype above and below the horizon line yields myriad permutations of this visual language.” GC

This frame set, in this 10 year color, is limited to 100 total pieces.

Garrett will hand scribe each frame in the order we received the pre-order. The first order we receive will be frame number 1, and the last will be frame number 100.

These are expected to land in California in November 2015. About 60 days from today.

We are excited to release our third collaboration with Bay Area native

. For this edition we chose to produce hubs intended for street use. Still light, and bulletproof for daily use. We produced a new Battleship Gray for this run, and offer them as Low Flange, 32 hole, and double fixed rear, making this pair a perfect set of all around race/ride hubs. We have hub sets available

, we will also lace some options up in the coming weeks. Stay tuned!

CINELLI MASH WORK FRAME PRE-ORDER

A few weeks back we hosted our 5th Shop race, and

organized this one, and shot some details of racers coming and going.

This weekend kicks off with a group ride in the headlands with

. We will meet at the

on Market street, then loop around the city to the bridge, and ride some dirt and road, finishing back at MASH for a beer, and a chance to visit with a fun group or riders. Ride hosted by

Saturday starts with a group ride from

at 8AM, and then Sasha from Vanilla Workshop will be displaying some new bikes. Chris McNally will have some art up, all at

Sunday we will meet at

, and host a checkpoint race here in the city. Meet at 12pm to sign up, and we will send racers out by 12:30pm.
