PDX-SF 2009

So i finally cracked my old laptop and pulled all my old pictures off, this set is from two summers ago.  Fox (NYC) and I rode from Portland to SF 734 miles, in 5 days,.  I was on my Cannondale (48×17) with only an Ortlieb backpack.  It was a really crazy trip, i wouldn’t recommend it brakeless to anyone, i couldn’t even get on a bike for 3 days after I got home to SF.  But seriously some of the most intense and challenging riding I’d ever done, especially HWY 1 south of Leggett.

Fox at the border, sticker jump

Best/most uncomfortable bar stem combo ever!  Notice if you wrap your seat in multiple Fedex bags the tyvek cuts down on saddle friction (very key during 130 mile days)

This day we rode 168 miles!! it was (and is) the most I have ever ridden fixed in one day.  i woke up in a ditch the next morning and thought i was going to die.

Living The Dream, cans of chili= cheap, filling, murder on your sleeping bag.

Our friends Lucky (left) and Mattchew (right) rode with us the first day out ..

Mine and Mattchew’s Cannondale’s the day we left PDX

Yep that about says it all

I’ll be posting more photos of trips past as I dig through my old photos
